- Go to America Is A Christian Nation. You Got A Problem With That?
agree with you.America is a Christian Nation
I agree with you. Good blog. I had written a much longer comment, but I decided not to bore you with all my words. Perhaps I'll put it in my own blog. Thanks

MightyHolyWarrior,
America is not a Christian Nation! It is a Nation of Peoples who "practice" different Religions! I do not see any purpose in your trying to make this country a haven for "bigots" like yourself! Trying to hide your ignorance in a veil of stupidity makes you look extra-foolish!

Now wait -=- Didn't we come here so as not to be assaulted by organized
Churches?? Didn't maryland go so far as to ban the forming of a Catholic church at one time. Point is -=- most all orhodoxed religions are big on ritual and early Americans fought tooth and nail to be free to worship as THEY saw fit like you said. Is there one religion that God recognizes while abhorring the rest. Talk to me holy warrior!! Peace that passes understanding and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AS WELL.

okay lets do this again
becauwse the founding fathers recognized other religions (Jews had to h ave made a substantial population at that time), we have freedom of religion.
they departed from the Christian pattern before them -- exclusion and persecution of those tho disagreed with the established church.
our present christian rulers seem to not understand true religious freedom.

wrong again
let's see
jewish
moslem
hindu
buddhist
unitarian
secular humanist
atheist
agnostic
more
all of these religions and philosophies have substantial populations in this country.
you, sir, are a biased exclusivist.

Christianity Declining?
Hello, fwmystic. I don't know what your evidence is that suggests that Christianity is in decline. Nevertheless, even should it be true it would only prove the words of Jesus: "Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." (Matthew 7:13-14)
THANK YOU and GOD BLESS! "JESUS, and only Jesus, SAVES"

Yes, but during the revolution, only 17 percent of Americans
declared themselves "Christian", so really we are at about the same level. AND, currently 84% of Americans (while not necessarily Christian) believe that Jesus was born, crucified, and rose again. That, by definition, indicates a Christian nation--at least in belief if not necessarily practice.
Sorry, mhw...Had to answer your last comment.

Actually, Sunday worship in all denominations is falling ......
Despite the presence of loudmouth fanatics, evidence suggests that individuals who classify themselves as Christian is has been falling steadily since 1960 and is less than 15 percent nationwide.
