Thank you for your comment.

I don't confine my support solely to new bloggers, but having checked how far down the chart the " Old bloggers" are, I read them too. The old boogers need a hand up as well! LOL

I used to make it a point to read a new person each day,

sadly, I don't anymore. Thanks for the reminder.

Layla

Thank you. I make a point of reading at least five newbies every evening, and if everyone did he same, they'd feel so good, wouldn't they?

You've got to put your clicks where you mouth is!!!

Excellent points...I agree!

This place can be SUCH a popularity contest, and people SHOULD read new blogs--and even blogs that have been here a while, but aren't so popular.  But the chitchat is a fun part.  I enjoy it a lot.

Good post, Ariel!  ~LB~ xo

Hi -
i absolutely agree with you and I do try to go into the home page at least once a week to seek out new bloggers. I always try to leave comments because, even for old bloggers like me it is gratifying to get comments.

Well, I won't apologize for chatting over the fence, as I do devote an

awful large percentage of my blogit time reading and commenting--and highlighting--lower-ranked bloggers.  I'm hear for all of it.

Good points, though!

This is very true and although I try.. I think I can do better. Ariel.. there are so many blogers and I am still discovering old ones that are new to me.

Good post, Arial70.  Just curious, how long did it take before you felt like you were no long a "new blogger" after you started posting?

Ariel,
The voice of reason.  Reciprocity does help oil the squeaking wheels of polite society.  Good reminder.

babe

And I shall go on supporting you until your name appears above mine in the charts.

I know all about fatigue ; especially in this weather, for it's cold and damp, and the first snow has fallen on the mountains around our house. The highest peak is thick with it, and it'll probably remain until late April.

Such weather plays hell with old bones, I can tell you!

Ariel, you certainly were supportive of me at the beginning. Of course I'm the type who screams and stomps my foot until somebody pays attention. I truly didn't understand how it worked at first. Have felt fatigue lately so I haven't commented much but I continue to read a lot.

I try to sift through the corridors of these posts and find one to read. Invariably, I find one that has been written well but has no input.

I can remember putting a lot into mine at first and having very little feedback. What I didn't realize is that many simply did not know that I was there, because I didn't reach out to begin with.

Most people here will gladly take a look at your post if you show them some courtesy and read theirs. It is a great place to interact and share ideas.

Thanks for helping those who need it here.

I agree, and always try to leave even a sentence.  It was so good to get them when I was starting out.

when I see a post by a name I don't recognize, I almost always click on it to see who they are and read their post. I remember what it was like as a newbie, those first few days, and the first comments I received...it was wonderful. I am always disheartened to read a new blogger and see all the zeroes after their posts. Of course it means they aren't grasping that they need to become more involved on the site, but still, a warm welcome wouldn't hurt.
