I don't think you've missed out on anything, Taps, although Ell is still trying to convince me.

LOL, Johnmcnab. I've never ever had a pair of those fleece pants. Wondered what I've been missing out on.

Newsflash: Landed Immigrant shows his ignorance again. Doubts about his suitability for citizenship with a zed.

OH too funny Mac!!!
Although I've never heard of Nuns' Fart!! Or even heard one!

I sure don't know the answer to all the questions but I do know that Gretzky is with a 'zed' not an 'ess'! Hehe!

LOL!

LOL Ginnieb. When the article came up I called on Ell who looked at the first 3 questions. "You just brought the first one in from the beer store. You just had the second one at Tims on the way home and even you should know about Grestky!!!" It was a good article which had her giggling a the Quebec religious paraphernalia (I only found out about 'Tabernac and Nuns Farts' two weeks ago.) As for '72; apparently Canada beat the Russians at some silly game or other. We both know exactly the same amount of words of the anthem......those would be O Canada dum de dum dum.
People don't realise how difficult it is to learn about a new country. The natives have absorbed facts all their lives. Thanks Ginnieb.

Sigh! I remember those days with fondness. Now whisky tends to send me babbling over the edge.

My other half finds it has the opposite result. Whisky imbibed daily keeps him sane and on course;-)

That sounds logical, MayB, but unfortunately when drinking whisky the 6.26 seconds are lost due to the weaving and wobbling effect the Scotch has on the legs.

I haven't found those undies yet, ginnie, but I'll start looking for them. I read the Ottawa Citizen I'm afraid but I'll look up the net and see if I can find that article - after I change into my cozies? I like that word. I'll add it to my northern dictionary.

OK, I don't want to dwell too much on that. Perhaps whisky would give you 6.26 seconds

I was thinking TMI Mac...
...but then I remembered just whom I was reading!!

I take it you haven't yet found the lounge/pj pants (and ya..not undies) that are plaid, flannel and cozy enough to leave on all day! When my daughter was at college and living in residence, she claimed that everyone wore their jammie pants to class. Come to think of it it's time for me to shower, get out of my pyjamas and into my track suit. It's a transfer of one cozy to another! Oh...do you read the Globe and Mail? There was a very funny article in the Facts and Arguements last week about the things a 'foreigner' should know when taking their citizenship test. The 'foreigner' who wrote this was an Aussie.
