Never. I thought it a bit of a reach for the Bush administration, not to
mention our military. I have been more supportive of the ideas of surgical strikes and elite paramilitary operations, sanctioned police actions. Time has proved the elder Bush and his advisors correct in their assessment of the Iraqi entanglement (stay out of Baghdad and avoid a mounting insurgency), something the son would have done well to emulate (or simply not have invaded Iraq at all). I still believe that Iraq was more of a personal thing for Dubya, a sewing up a loose end that he felt his father left dangling. I was somewhat behind the Afghanistan move, but totally against an occupation. However, Afghanistan hasn't proved anywhere near as detrimental to our military or international prestige.
