I'm with you songbird
I hate the commercialism of Christmas too. What I hate most is when people abbrieviate (Did I spell that right?) it with X-Mas. That takes Christ right out of Christmas, and makes the whole point mute. I do love Christmas. It's my favorite time of year. And when there is something someone truly wants or needs, it's wonderful to see their face light up when I've given it to them. I love the feeling of the season most of all, and the family togetherness that we rarely get any other time of year. I really do love this season, I just hate the commercialism of it. Merry Christmas Songbird!

Hello.. I agree that Christmas is becoming more and more commercial every year and the true meaning is getting lost in the shuffle. I have a cake every Christmas and write ' Happy Birthday Baby Jesus' it is a tradition and also a reminder ( at least for a while) of the real reason for Christmas. Thanks, I enjoyed your post!
