Goes to show you, scoop, that politics rules the day, even with regard to
matters military.  Got to get a little good PR in before the bad.  And, making sure the president doesn't say anything also gives a little distance from it.  That type of skewed thinking is what got us into this damn mess to begin with.  But, hell, he has his own press corps to write and release stories hear in the good ole USA to refute and/or justify the military press corps.  Does this all seem a bit unreal, surreal, or too real?

I was a little bothered about the "buying" of the press but I guess they

all do it, but at least there should have been some notice of who produced the stories. The contract they say is worth $100 million.

But I think the thing that bothered me today was that Bush knew about the marine deaths just before he went out to make his speech on the economy and now they are saying the military told him not to say anything until an hour later what a bunch of bull.
