Okie, Are You Being Paid By The NY Times Or Some Other Major Publication To
be a "blogging critic?" I am just wondering.

You tell 'em Scoopy... Crabby or rather in the guise of her Creator has
what some might call 'quality' work here... Obviously... there is not a market for quality work here. Hmmmmm that might say something about the clientale..... not the writers. A 'good' writer... gives his or her audience what they want... Crabby has played around enough with her blogs to know what 'sells' and what does not... and as Crabby stated her self a while ago.... if a writer can not get noticed here where everything jumps right out at you... they do not have a chance in hell of getting noticed in the world of dead cold print. Either you have it or you don't.
Whiners never have it... because they would rather expend their energy whining.

I agree
there are a lot of writers on here who are excellent! I have said many times that I don't really think the rankings matter. I can see that they're important from the perspective that you can see how much you are being read, and you make money from how much you're read. But I think that rankings sort of look different than they really are. There are some quality writers in the top.......but there are more quality writers who don't make it to those first 10 spots on the front page. I think that is kind of tragic. I also think some of the top writers can do better, but they don't have to anymore.....
