Wise words indeed and I do believe He finds the right channels at the right time; it's nice how He uses those we've loved so much to convey his messages.

You know as crazy as this is going to sound,
this is exactly how God talks to me. I never have a great big revelation. He speaks either when I ask Him to show me something in His Word or when I least expect to get my answers. It is usually something from the Bible that fits my experience exactly. I've been going through a rough time this past week or so and after praying and seeking God on this particular problem, the following words just flowed into my mind after one of my prayer sessions
For the Lord does not change His mind about whom He chooses and blesses. Of course, I question each time this happens to me, but I am learning to recognize His voice. I believe God speaks to us, especially if we are prepared to listen.

It is interesting that when we are children we do think we have forever. As adults forever comes real quick. I lost my sister-in-law a year and a half ago and it never seemed like I had enough time with her. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so glad that you wrote this post, Malcolm! Thoughts such as this come often to me; and for a long while, I did not understand it as a kind of guidance. I do now...and have for a time, accepted it is real.
