As to the Disraeli quote, ARGUS, probably nothing truer has ever been said,
except maybe the line in the Book of Luke about treating others as you'd want to be treated.  And who better to quote such a phrase as a noted politician and a man of letters.  Bush is also a man of letters -- a C average at Yale, no less.  I doubt if Bush even knows who Disraeli is -- probably thinks its a mispronunciation of Israeli or a combination of disrespect and Israeli, perhaps used by the Palestinians to describe insulting remarks about the Jewish state.

You did well, ARGUS. I also had to learn English as a teenager -- in

college.  I was born in West Virginia.

saul, remember Disraeli said

'With words we govern men.'  One wonders how Bush can be scoring as high as he is in the polls given his rhetoric skills.

Thanks for visiting my Trifles blog. I had to learn English as a teenager ---'twas a bitch..
