Ginnieb, I am always grateful for good editors although I am careful not to take advantage of them. If I do the best I can then they can concentrate on polishing copy rather than correcting. I feel I also have a split personality when doing the two tasks.

Grammar! I hate the word!
When I was in school I would turn off when it came to grammar checks and though I regret it now it often feels like attention to detail is for someone else...an editor...but not me!

MayB, I found out the same thing about myself when I was editing, but I
still work as one for a newsletter and I just have to take things slow and do what comes VERY hard to me -- pay attention to details!
