How true

but if we open ourselves to being exposed...oh my...the possibilities! For isn't it our individual experiences that make our writing real?

Yes.  Forgive my spaciness.

Huh?
Wasn't Sidney Jourard a psychologist?  I'd better read this again.

Very nicely put
and I'm sure all 'true' writers feel this way.....naked and unsure of how they look in the bright lights. Thanks so much for sharing such an honest post.

Naked and wainting for clothes
As a writer feeling exposed it is true, but we also wait for clothes of approval.  Here is a scarf for you! Nice job.

Quirky

Hello.. I really like the quote that you included with your post.

You are so right Quirky
My character Rhiannon still hasn't realized that the nakedness being referred to when the witch said she has to find "the one who will love her in her nakedness," is really referring to someone who will love her "warts and all."

Cheers, Quirky.  Thanks for your complete lack of modesty!

Quirkyalone, Though short, this is one of your best.  One cannot write without exposing a part of himself.   Some of us let it all hang out.

Quirky
sometimes I put off reading comments because I get all nervous about what others will say. There's no reason for this as no one has ever said anything negative to me but I do feel so naked and vulnerable and sometimes wonder if I said too much.

Quirkyalone
Very seldom, if ever, do I expose myself in such a way. Possibly in my fiction, but never in my journal posts.

I was thinking something similar to this yesterday.  I'm all for nakedness in writing, nakedness in public.. not so much!  lol!

Quirky,

So very true. But in reality how many people actually give you all naked and not just a flash of leg?  BTW when you are standing on the corner exposing yourself do you still have a trench coat handy or are you all in the buff? Shadow
