I agree with Horus
It isn't really a choice thing. It's just a self knowledge thing.

Ariala, Gryphon, and DamonLeigh
Thank you all for your comments! As I mentioned in my post, I haven't decided what I am going to do about finding a religion just yet. Right now my focus is on learning about Wicca--not because of magic, but because of its other beliefs. I couldn't care less about having magical powers.
Living in Hawai`i, I have been exposed to Buddhist beliefs often. Most of my friends are Japanese and follow that faith. I have found it to be a wonderful faith, but I have also felt terribly out of place when I attended their ceremonies. It's quite shocking being the only white person in a crowded room.
I have studied many a religion in college and haven't quite found the right one. Which is why my search continues.
Again, thank you all for your comments!

Ms. Bitchcraft, you don't have to worship a Goddess or entities besides God
to have power to create something out of nothing, as they do in Witchcraft. It's all about quantum physics and faith...I disagree with you concerning whether or not Satan exists. I have experienced activities of evil angels in my life and others who have as well.
I always enjoy reading your blogs, and wish you the best in your search for a faith.

Interesting, But...
...I disagree with your definition of Satanism.
I wouldn't defend it, but true Satanists certainly don't put the balme eslewhere. They take FULL responsibility for their actions. Also, because Satan is the dark side (of Santa, I believe) does not necessarily mean it is purely or necessarily dark and evil in intent.

Been there, done that . . .
There was a stretch where I was thinking of going into the Goddess religion because Judeo-Christian theology and the whole trappings of those religious attitudes really turned me off, so I can relate to your search.
If your search is about power--and believe me, choosing ones belief system
should be about power--you have to decide whether you want your Deity to be omnipotent with your will subsumed in the Godhead as in the Yahweh-God-Allah religions. Or whether you want to try Buddhism, which is about attaining nirvana or an exstatic nothingness.
Wicca is about using your power yourself--I hope responsibly, because using power comes with consequences. Satanism, by contrast, is about doing whatever you dang well please and putting the blame anywhere but on yourself. "The devil made me do it."
Then there is nihilism, which is just too depressing. All the dreary black clothing, etc. Also, you have existentialism, which is basically anarchy because if everything exists only because
you do, anything you do would be right.
There are probably other places to look, but I have found that coming back to Christianity, in which I was raised, brought me peace of mind. Good luck, Kiddo.
