hee hee done that too

But we also got the little toddler bed with the short (4-5 inch?) rails around the top third to train them somewhat. Now they are in the big beds with minimal number of falls at the beginning.

The younger one was the climber. At 2 he started forward rolls off the couch, thankfully that stopped after Mommy freaked out a couple of times and now the couch is simply a jungle gym/trampoline. (I have given up trying to prevent it. I am resigned to new furniture in a couple of years. It has taken enough stain abuse anyway.)

Good luck-

LOL!!
Don't mean to be laughing but I've been there/done that!  I remember all too well..right down the the 'thump'!  My climber is now 28 and her younger siblings did nothing like that!  We put her back in her crib and out she came...we took the wheels off the crib so she couldn't push it away from the wall...she did...then we bought a crib extender...she just hopped out the end.  And of course then the trick is to keep him in the new bed!  Don't worry....it only takes about 5 months of insistence before they get it!  I laughed out loud about your photo ops with your son!  Have fun!!
