Taps, the mutt was in the "doghouse" all day, but I let her out this evening, took her for a long walk whereupon I believe she got rid of a good quantity of the banana bread.  Not to be crude, but I had quite a large bag of you know what that I had to tote back with me.  The big question is how she'll do tomorrow while I'm at work . . . .

The bread is wonderful served warm, with butter!

Hi babe_rocks --
yeah, the nuts do add something as long as they're ground to a powder (IMHO).  I can't stand chewing them whole.  But I think you'll like the outcome!!!

l might make this. l will add one half cup ground peanuts or walnuts. Grinding releases more flavor. l have a cat that got into my shortbread two years in a row. :(
