Intriguing lines...
I tend to see the heart as the seat of "feeling." But the flaw is in following your feelings too fecklessly; surely the spirit is a better gauge of godly wisdom, as it is the spirit with which I ultimately connect with our "ur-Papa" as Yeats so affectionately called him back in the late 40s.
