You're right greed stems from negative emotions. Fear of poverty, a feeling of not being loved, conceit, etc.

We have to remember that we won't be here forever and we'll each have to let it all go one day.

Thanks! We are trying to simplify our lives, working to keep and use just what we need. But a couple of things still tug at me. I'm restoring a 1967 El Camino, so it is extra stuff - I don't really need it. But I am helping to recycle, so that's a good thing I hope.

These posts on the 7 deadly sins are great! I read some of Dantes work a few years ago.I see Greed tied in with jealousy and fear.that wheel of want that encompases everything  as a game and control.

 I would like to own a few things in raising a farm, but I have nothing now in my life as material, and I am thankful for nothing.  Thanks for writing these posts.
