Meningococcemia usually starts with a fever, weakness, nausea, muscle aches, joint pains and chills, according to Levin. But instead of rapid improvement, those with meningococcemia become sicker. Advanced symptoms can include fever, blotchy rash and severe weakness.

RARE DISEASE
An estimated 2,600 cases a year of meningococcemia occur in the United States. About 5 percent of the child cases are fatal, and 5 to 10 percent of the adult cases. Most occur in people under 20 years old. Its in the family of meningitis

What is the name of the bacteria or virus. You left that part out. If there is such a dangerous illness I would be interested in knowing the bacteria or virus that causes it. Thanks for your interesting post, I would like to know more.
