I do think you can unlearn fear. I think that's the path to divinity. It's all about learning to be love and do love always. Thanks for stopping by.

Very well written, and I agree with all of it....

Unlearn Fear
Always think down fear with love. Ask "What would love do now" when faced with choices.  Fear (vice) will fall behind in face of love, the most powerful force in the universe.   Love love love,
Cee

Can fear be unlearned?
I  hope you're right and it can. A lot of my own writing argues to that end. On the other hand, we may simply be a hyperfearful species that spends its life trying to appease or, better, balance-out the expressions of fear that inevitably inflict us (the daily struggle you refer to). That is to say, we're born with them and stuck with them, period; hence, all that is available to us is to manage them reasonably well.  I hope this isn't so and there is a passage through fear to a fairer life beyond; but I suspect if there is, it's a much harder passage to negotiate than is often assumed. I think the key is trust: trust in God, trust in others, trust in ourselves; and also, of course, trustworthiness. But whether this is an antidote to fear or a mere compensation, I don't know.

The bad is very seductive, isn't it? I have the same problem.

You may be right. We just bought a new house. Maybe that will help.

I agree with you. And I think we learn to discern the various levels as we mature spiritually.

Sannhet
Well done   Again, you've described one of my days perfectly.  Thanks for the well written post, reminding me of where I should be placing my attention.

yeah, mine definitely wake up with me.  a cup of coffee and a cigarette first thing or i
can't move.  this is an interesting subject.  the more i divide things into "good" and
"bad" the more i'm drawn, like an undertow, towards the "bad".

If you wake up next to your vices each day....
It's time to move out!  A change in surroundings (and circumstance) is what you may need, Sannhet-Man!

I think I have several different people in my head, they are standing in wait and one will take over when a certain sight or thought is embraced. like baseball, and they say " this pitch is for me".

I am fascinated with how the mind works in all its ways. thanks for post.

there is more than one level of divine
there is what we can see and what we can
what we can see is those around us -- all around us -- what we can do something about as we go through our day.
then there are levels of what we cannot see.
some can be discerned more readily than others.
little things
a parapsychologist making uncanny predictions
some of us having prophetic visions
occurences that seem in line with some cosmic something or other.
if you experience these, then you have discerned the more discernable divine.
this leads me to believe that we can move through and clear the fog with each successive level.  but of course it's not like a stair -- it's like an incline -- gradual.
too steep and it can affect us drastically
gradual.
but first one has to seek.
