Thanks for the info, BrightIrish. We'll skip the Washington visit and maybe the Churchill visit where we could be eaten by Polar Bears. Staying indoors sounds like a wonderful idea.

It would be much better for you to stay home and write than to venture to Washington DC.. I lived close to there for many years and it is not a safe place to be.. Truthfully, it just gets worse by the day! Good Luck with writing your book and finding the info. that you need.

Isn't it strange that we can always find something to put off writing, but the writing itself is suppose to be something we can't control?

This is why I will probably never have anything published again.
My drive drove off long ago.... I can always find something else I "should" be doing instead of writing something. Like now I am reading blogs for a bit, then I will do some housework, practice some German if possible....etc....

Into every life some tears must fall, or something like that, jacenta. I'll suffer in silence.

It certainly is, jacenta. It has been snowing here all night, and still is. But, instead of huddling in and writing, I have to clear a driveway and a car and go to the gym. This afternoon we will be babysitting and tonight...... sigh....I'll have to force myself to play pool - in a pub, no less!!

You are probably right, kingmi, but I always have this nagging at the back of mind that time is ticking away faster and faster.

That's true enough....
But you only get to gad about, AFTER you've written something.

It would be cool, ginnie, and very cold. It has been a long time since I did any of my 'book' writing as well, but now that winter is starting I think I am going to have lots of time at it.

John,
Good luck in getting your editing done....I think you should stay home and write, rather than go gadding about seeing the sights.

I'm still waiting Mac!!!!
I can't believe how excited I was when I was writing my 'book'...if I can call it that...but I've been away from it for so long...it feels like I've neglected a friend.

I'd pick the polar bears if I were you...how cool would that be!
