Nope, no riding any more, it is cars, cars and cars!
And btw, the pics you asked about in my blog have been posted!

Rcky -
I do the exact same thing - every time I ride. Every little bit helps.

Sannhet...
You may already do something similar but whenever I leave the house I do a prayer of protection.   I surround myself with white light and call in my spirit guides and angels and ask for their protection.  So far, so good. LOL    I hope you do something like this when you ride!!!

I agree. Though I sometimes feel he's dropped me.

He's always with me - though it gets a little crowded when my wife tags along too! Thanks.

I've been to Bryce, but not on my bike. We're looking at that ride for this coming spring.

I've had so many, many near misses. My car was broad-sided by a freight train travelling at full speed. Sometimes, I wonder when it will be "my time to go." It's all in God's hands. Thanks Sannhet.

Thrilled to know you're still here (and posting)...hope you're around for a VERY long time to come!  I totally agree with the "when it's your time to go" sentiment.  Didn't know it was so dry in your area...I'm in the danger zone here in TX (where you see the "red"by the TX/OK border...that's us).  So sad, traveling the byways & seeing where once beautiful land once stood is scorched and blackened earth.  My prayers are for both our areas to get rain, right NOW.

Zion, Bryce Canyon and Yosemite were my best rides!  I see you have been to Zion, have you been to Bryce Canyon?

Yes, we still ride from time to time.  I live in Colorado so there is a whole lot of beauty to take in and you just can't capture all of its magnitude in a car.  What am I saying...you know!

Yup. When it's your time, it's your time. For me, it's all based on what I am supposed to learn in this life. When I'm done learning (which can include teaching), then off I go.

Do you ride any more?

Apple -

Today is sunny and about 78. It's a little warmer than normal. It's usually in the upper 60 to low 70s this time of year. But we haven't had rain in three months, and this is when we are supposed to get half of our eight inches of rain per year, so it will be a very dry and fire-filled summer if it doesn't rain soon.

I've taken many short, one-week rides. Usually it is a three-or-four-day ride somewhere in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, New Mexico or Arizona. Our last one back in October was up through Zion in southern Utah. What a great ride! Though I haven't done a coast-to-coast yet, like Rcky says, you've got to try it. For me, riding is one of the most spiritually uplifting things I've ever done - though there was that week end with my twin neighbors back in college . . .

Hey apple...
For what it's worth I have traveled across country, from coast to coast a few times on a Harley.  It was the greatest experiences of my life.  You must try it!

Sannhet...
That is what I believe...when its our time, when our soul feels it is time to leave,  there is nothing we can do to stop it.  It is a choice we made while in spirit.  A current example is the coal miner that was the sole survivor.  Why did he live when all the rest died? It just wasn't his time!   Great post!

sannhet

what is the temp. in phoenix this season?

that is one of my dreams; to get a bike and head out from coast to coast, in canada and the US.  I have travelled across the rocky mountains several times and lived there for a while, and thinking how great it would be to drive through in the open air.and the deserts too. I enjoy driving and think on a bike it would be more so.

have you ever been on a bike for a long trip?
