I'm 22 and I've gone through lots of phases with all my grandparents
Especially when you are away at uni it is easy to put the to the back of your mind and view them as irrelevent. But lately I have become very close to all of my grandparents. I'm sure that your nephews will realise they are hurting the rest of the family.
But remember that this is a very unsettled time at that age and it is very hard to keep track of all your loved ones when your own life is so up in the air and unstable.

kids go thru alot of phases growing up and trying to figure out who they are. we become despensible in some of those phases, until they get into another one where they don't know everything afterall.
