Jumping up that much on a last bid sounds a bit wasteful to me. Your
apparently natural bent for competitiveness seems to make you lose sight of frugality, if you ever had THAT.

Gee, Joe...Jack Flash really let the wind out of your sails...
He claims this sidekick vehicle is a piece of crap????? Well, the photo looks good to me. When you were off Blogit for a short while, I had posted about a tiny error I had made on maximizing my bid on ebay for a Christmas gift for my mom. I thought I had bid $19.99 for 6 asian bowls and soup spoons, but instead, I had bid a max of $1,999.00...Yeah, stop laughing, please. What a nightmare that could have ended up being. Best of luck with your auction.

hey joe,
Is a Suzuki Sidekick a car or a two-wheeled put-put? Suzuki makes some good stuff, but they also crank out some real junk. Around here the Latino gang bangers seem to have a real penchant for the Suzuki miniature jeeps. If it's one of those, check it for bullet holes and live ammo rolling around on the floor.
I don't know what to say. Maybe you will get lucky with your bid and the other guy will get stuck with the Suzuki. Tonka makes some pretty nice stuff. Maybe you could get something nice of theirs and drop a Suzuki engine into it. Would that be cool, or what? A Tonka with a bored, stroked, and blown Suzuki in it. I might even go for one of those.

Joe,
Well did you or didn't you here? I tried E-Bay once for a movie I really wanted called "Song Catcher". There were no bids after mine, which was about the price of the new movie. I hadn't been able to find it anywhere for sale. Just as the last minute was ticking off this bozo made a final bid and won. I learned a vital lesson. But in the end I won because by chance I went into Hollywood Video and found a used copy for sale for $5.00. LOL Shadow

Indiana Jones was inspired by cliffhangers.
In old cinema, they would often show short cliffhangers before the feature presentations (you know, instead of ads) so people would come back every week. That aside, auctions are exciting. I've never done ebay, but I used to participate in audio equipment auctions at digibid.com, and I got some crazy deals through that.

JoeLove,
it's just that when I found myself fantasizing every little detail of what I am going to wear, liisten to, etc. it is the sure kiss of death, like God's little joke, telling me, "Slow down, Girlfriend, not so fast, you are getting way too attached to this picture. ", so the joke is on me, actually.

I've never known anyone
who could milk this much suspense out of an e bay bid. Damn! What's gonna happen next! This is like serious cliffhanger time.
Good work, as always, Joe!

My wife e-bays a lot. Sometimes she'll storm out of the room saying, 'I've been outbid at the last minute, damnit!' Other times, she'll come out laughing.
