- Go to Groundhog Day!
You reckon the groundhog's sleepy? You should see me halfway through the film!

Too funny...
Being from the Midwest we always anxiously awaited Phil's forecast. Last year, I found out that some in CA didn't know the little guy even existed. This year, somehow I completely forgot, and was made aware when a passerby mentioned it. My boyfriend laughed hysterically over my forgetfulness. Payback I guess, as that's how I found out CA didn't know about him, and was shocked.
Now that I think about it, I don't recall him ever not seeing his shadow and spring coming early back there. Now you've helped it all make sense.

I never got excited about Groundhog Day. The best thing that ever
happened to 2 February was the movie "Groundhog Day"!

Yeah, that Phil is NOTHING like a real
live wild groundhog. The real ones smell and are really nasty when cornered, or really chicken if they can get away. I think he's either stuffed or a hand puppet.

Whacky, I thought sure that I saw Phil this morning when
I went walking but it was just a large grey squirrel that startled me.
