Turning betrayal into art, into story
and building one's power as a human and a writer isn't revenge. It's growth. It's strength.

Sounds like a fabulous plan, Azur.  Now if I could only get really mad at something or somebody.

I'm afraid that I have done a bit of writing on the "Wall Of Infamy" but it gets old really quickly.

Azir--- I agree with Brisbane about turning the hurt into something
positive. I also know the cathartic value of writing. It helped me survive a divorce years ago. When I go back and look at that journal, I am amazed at what I lived through. Now if only I could get it into the hands of a producer . . .

Azur,
I like the way her story turned out.  I've written through many hurts and humiliations.  I read something yesterday about healing, and someone wrote that telling one's story, having a narrative is critical to healing from trauma. It would be very traumatic to have your husband leave you for a friend, a double betrayal.  I hope she found peace when she got the check for the script!

As Rafika said what better recourse than success?

Brisbane artist, I don't think this is truly revenge
it's more about using feelings of hurt to do something positive for oneself. I'd say a book and a movie  was a positive step for Cameron

just as long as the proving then wrong does not get in the way
of living and doing what you want and need to do

Bugger 'em. Just live well and longer.
You let them know they inspired you, and they'll sue.
