Right on the money! I've been able to plant early because we had about a month of winter. It is in the high 70s to low 80s during the day (usually high 60s to low 70s) and above 50 at night (usually in the high 30s to low 40s this time of year). Arizona is beautiful in the winter time regardless of the temps, but I am afraid it is going to be a long, hot summer.

Exactly! Though I must admit that with my love of tomatoes, I do get distracted.

Thanks! Yeah, I can't wait for that first tomato pulled off the vine!

Sannhet.... Eloquent, intelligent post. I had a similar revelation
while walking on the beach recently, that we are all basically lumps of clay! Though we have a spirit that animates us, our bodies are inert like the earth and will come and go like everything else. No point clinging to it. Our tomatoes are still producing ripe fruit, so they are near the end of the cycle, as it will be autumn here in a few weeks. Its kind of weird to read about your seedlings at the same time!

....excellent!....and the trick is to identify with the life force and not the plants....also, not to get distracted by the tomatoes!

Very poetic analogy.  You're making me salivate with all this talk about homegrown tomatoes.
