Azur,

Oranges are not the only fruit, you know.

Hope the health thing clears well.

Azur
I think your 'good luck' came from hard work, Azur.  Congrats.

Lean Season.
Dear Azur.. You are right. There will always be a lean season. It is best, if you can save something for the rainy day.. regards..  Prof.

Good luck! I'd be interested in knowing
what you write about.  You seem to have developed a career with a lot of diversity.  Kudos!

I like reading what the writing life is like for you.
I figure it is good to know what it takes someone whom I consider a good writer to make a go of it...

You are wise
to set aside a little for the future. After all life is uncertain. Good luck with the new gig!

Good luck with the struggle
I hate the marketing angle of writing.  I just want to write, but alas marketing is everything.  This has been a tough year for me too.  For the first time in my life, I interviewed and did not get hired.  Shocker!  I have always gotten every job I applied for.  Reality check.  I interviewed 3 times and did not get hired.  Wowser, I said it.....so now what?  I am writing and trying to learn everything I can about marketing.  Selling is not my forte....I must endure...so shall you...

Azur - Fingers and toes are crossed for you. But let me know when...
... you sign the contract as this could become uncomfortable.

Fionajean, thanks so much. It has started well
Sometimes being persistent is so exhausting. I am looking forward to a good sleep next week

Good advice to remember
Everyone thinks it's so easy to get published but it isn't. On the plus side, I think maybe this year will be the turning point for you. Best of luck with the operation, relax get fixed and when you've recovered, you may be able to expend all kinds of energy that you didn't have last year. My saying, "Be persistently persistent." (ie: Be stubborn and thick-skinned and never give up.)

Dear Azur,
I wish you good luck. I hope I can buy your books maybe on the Internet, I would be honoured to read them. As you know, I'm also a teacher, I have managed to write 2 textbooks in English, maybe in the future I will publish sth different, when/if I become a good writer...
