Burly, you are right, now is the time for all good
people to come to the aid of their countrymen, including Cheney and even the press!

Corbin Dallas, that is so true, but there is a quiet wind blowing
in the heart of all tonight that might make a difference

It won't stop them.....even people here are trying to intrepret the old man's words...."Didn't he make a mistake about the date?"  Did he forget his lines"......I't a neverending story...an obsession.......besides, we all know the old man will probably be made ambassador to Tahiti....

Why don't we have more thoughtful writers like you on the internet? You're absolutely right! The Whitehouse presscorps is so full of itself and so out of control arrogant that they think they are the news! I think the President should stop holding briefings, take away their comfortable digs in the Whitehouse press room and throw them out the gates! There was a time, during the Roosevelt administration, when news people had to stand outside the Whitehouse fence unless they were herded in for a press conference in which nothing could be directly attributed to the President by name! I'm not advocating that but, who do they think they are?

Remember This...

Consumers drive the media.

Don't believe me?  Try posting an entry about curtain rods and see how many folks read you. Then post a story about Condi Rice having sex with Ted Kennedy and see how many folks read.

Sadly, consumers are their own worst enemy at times.
