Have you seen Guns, Germs and Steele?
PBS aired a three part documentary sponsored by National Geographic... it was so illuminating that i bought it... always trying to educate the family... shows exactly how things developed. A biologist, last name Diamond, won the nobel on his 30 year study and subsequent documentary. His goal was to find out exactly why the HAVES have and HAVE NOTS don't have... turned out to be geographic and from there gets more complicated but in general common sense stuff. Nice blog.
