camouflage the gum with wet cement, Whacky.  I don't think I would have been able to resist.

definitely temptation there. As for the gum, ice is good also. Hold the ice on there for a while, and it should harden and come right off. Good for when its in hair too.

P.S. If it's in hair, peanut butter doesn't work. Take it from me.

probably better that you didn't cave in to such a delightfully

tempting thought! If your luck is like mine, you would trip and fall flat on your face in the wet cement, and then be royally embarrassed.

I'm not sure. Try using a larger piece of gum to apply suction to get it off? Use clean cooking oil to oil the sole and scrape it off? Good luck.

I've heard that you put the item in the freezer and wait
until the gum hardens and then chip it off. The question is, "Do you want to put your shoe in the freezer." As for the cement - nothing looks worse than seeing a newly laid cement block that someone has written their name on.

Rub an ice cube on it until it freezes
Your cement story is cute, but it reminded me of when my daughter drew her name and some pictures in our neighbor's new cement. How did they know it was us? She drew her Jane Hancock. Busted!
