MMM interesting question.
Zoloft is a seratonin reabsorption inhibitor right? In other words, it keeps the seratonin in your body....in your body. Thus elevating your mood. Chocolate, or rather eating chocolate, has been known to produce seratonin. Thus elevating a mood. There could be a connection. But hey! There are worse side effects to medication! Enjoy this one!

I didnt' have any weird chocolate cravings on zoloft at all ...though it might just be a normal craving. I have those from time to time - I know you said you were going to try to do atkins or dieting again - could it be a response to the changed eating habits at all?
Either way ...Atkins has these bars calls Ednulge carmel nut chew ...and ..even my boyfriend who hates anything healthy cannot tell the difference between these and a normal chocolate bar. Might be a good alternative to get over the craving as well as still be eating fairly healthy.

Chocolate craving is a personal thing, but we can share here!
Dunno. Real chocolate has bromine in it, and I understand it can contain tryptophan and caffeine. The real pharmochemical basis for this very common syndrom is poorly understood, just like why we bald guys sweat when we eat spicy food. (Ai-cheewawa!!).
Just for experiementation sake, go to the local AM-PM and drop a bunch of quarters for a selectionof the little outdated candy bars they sell by the register and try 'em, see what kind works best. Buy a bottle of Yoo-hoo while you're at it. How about coffee/chocolate ice cream(Starbucks)?
