This is very interesting. People tend to think they have to search very hard for their soulmate.

Fascinating post & comments Quirky
I've always thought you had to connect with your soulmate, at least on some level, to know true happiness and peace on this plane. This offers a different perspective to ponder - much appreciated.

Quirky,
I agree with this concept and belief, as you may know. I believe that we cannot live a physical life with our soulmate because we are always each others' spirit guide when in a physical life. We can have "kindred earth mates" that we meet throughout a life that may turn out to be someone we feel so connected to, but they are different from our one, true soulmate. Great post.

This is the second post on soulmates I've read today and I have to say that, as with a lot of theories that exist today, someone's going to have to disprove them before I'll stop allowing for the possibilities. I don't need to see proof in order to keep an open mind. I'm personally shying away from the term "soulmate," though. Until I learn more, I prefer to think of it as a strong connecting force of some kind that we experience with other people in life. But that still easily allows for what you're saying in your post. Good one.

Hi Quirks
Mmmm ... the comments left here sum it up for me! I couldn't add anything that would be more eloquent and pertinent than what your other readers have written. Lovely post!

Quirky--- I like this concept. It doesn't deny happiness with those who are
not our "soulmates" and yet suggests we are deeply tied to someone whom we may never meet (in this life anyway).

We are on the same wavelength, it would seem......and you're right.....there are a lot of opinions about this topic. I like this romantic idea in a away, but just have a hard time believing there is only one.....then again, like I say, I don't know....anything is possible...I won't know until I know.

My soulmate is the man that God intended me to be with.
We all make choices and those choices will bring us to man or woman meant to be our partners. I think the theory you mention is missing the beauty of being created to be the special person you are. I believe I was created in the image of God to be a girl named Michelle and my husband, Paul, was created for the purpose for the same purpose. These are my thoughts, I believe our purpose is to have relationships. One with God and many with other people....Thank you for sharing, It does make one think.
