Sometimes it takes a sore toe to make us realize we need a day to be snug
at home.

Malcolm,
Well, you know your daughter and whether or not she is putting on a performance. There's a youngster next door who's acting abilities when it comes to faking a shrill cry comes across as very fake.   I hope you two had a good day together regardless.

It is not a habit with her and I'm sure that nomatter what was really going on she felt warm and loved and that is impotant!

Sometimes, even if you could struggle your way through the wind and rain on a sore toe, you just don't feel like it. And that's ok.;

My son has had more days home this year now that
I'm going to school and only working part time.  I asked the nurse if he might be acting a bit.  She gave me this advice:  "If I were him, and I knew that this year were the only year that my mom could pick me up if I just didn't feel that well, I'd call home, too."

Yeah.  The snuggles and being home when everyone else is not is nice.  And I guess he deserves it.  Even if it's just a sniffle.

It's amazing how a little toe can wreck the most stolid individual. I hope she's feeling better soon.

I knew it wasn't the nun - I had to lock her in the greenhouse before belting down to school to pick Claire up! Thanks for the good wishes.

At the End...
...of the Canterbury Tales, it's the drug-runner with the Uzi who did it and not, as you're led to believe, the nun with the tight silk pyjamas.

Hope that hasn't spoilt it for you.

And I hope Little'Un is back to the full ten-toe quota soon.
