Oh, yes, I know this feeling so well. I hate alarm clocks in the morning.
It is nothing better than weke up naturally, when your body is telling you: "I am awake. I am ready for a new day. Wake up your soul. It is wonderful life waiting for you behind the windows." This should be ours song for "good morning", not a soulless sounds of alarm clocks.

Thanks, it did. The glass of water became a wine bottle, but thankfully with the cork in!

Thanks for your comment. I think every day is worth getting up for, if only not to wake up the following day with a beaten feeling?

Thanks for your comment. I remember my mother doing that too. She's probably up at the same time as I am still. Not sure why!

The best thing about those days is lying in the bed at the end of it and closing your eyes.

Malcolm,
That would have been a funny scene in a movie, but probably not so funny to live through. Here's hoping that tomorrow morning gets off to a better start.

So, you have weird dreams, too!!!  When you wake up talking to something, or someone who's not there - and I've done it also - it's hard to figure out 'why'.

Some days are not worth getting up for.

I don't even use an alarm clock anymore ...

I just wait for my mother to come storming into my room and start screaming at me.

"Let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby ... and get ourselves a treat."

Malcolm
An ongodly hour to have to wake up hoss. I have a quiet digital alarm clock/radio by the bed so I can see the time quietly in the dark of night. Hope your soggy clock still works Mal
