Greenfields,
Very well written. I won't re-ask all of the questions that are here. Your setting descriptions are very good. If you haven't already done it, look at Hemingway for some ideas. Maybe some Steinbeck for his style. You have the ability to do some very good work.

Hehe I see they have already been after you for MORE
so I won't go there. I will just say welcome to Blogit and your unique viewpoint would be very much appreciated here. Hope to read a lot more from you. This was both enjoyable and informative.

Greenfields - I too have lots of questions for you and am glad to ...
... see you here on Blogit. - Info on your background would help perspective. How long have you been there? In what capacity? Opinions of the people would be valuable. Is the Taliban regaining control? Are the streets safe? Are the promises from the U.S. coming to pass? - I look forward to much more from you. Welcome!

Nicely written and a very important read.
How is it there now that the girls' schools are being burned? Are people nervous? Are women discouraged?

Hello, Greenfields
Wow, what a view of life in Kabul. I have so many questions: who do you work for? What students get to attend your classes? Do the Afghanis observe International Women's Day? The slice of daily life is fascinating. I've beenn to Tashkent and Samarkand in Uazbekistan many years ago, I'm wondering if Kabul looks anything like them.
I look forward to your posts.

Welcome To Blogit!
And thank you for that interesting perspective on daily life in Kabul. I hope to read more from you.
One thing, though, could you elaborate on why your students felt as though it were a day they would never forget? In other words, how do the people feel about their future? Are they hopeful? Are they happy? Do they feel as though they're on a threshold of a brave new world?
Keep posting!
