Okay, this poem is good, but I've seen better of your work scriber. I get the message, however I think the content is too elusive to get the point across. I do like the last two lines, they flow nicely. And, who is that woman with the moon? ...red

A haunted room sounds spooky. A haunted mind can't be dispossessed easily.

by the way, Poe was a youthful favorite of mine; and his Annabel Lee
is a favorite.

I like this one a lot; it's eerie and romantic ...
without being so "graphic". Not to harp on that aspect (I'm not, like, a Puritan or anything), because obviously you're very good at both types, but I'm merely stating my personal preference.
At any rate, I was reminded somewhat of one of my favorite poems, "Annabel Lee".
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

Keep reality at bay?
Now THAT's a topic I can help with. And yes, that's ending a sentence with a preposition. Dammit.
