Ah. We have been through this too.
Hopefully you will do a better job at remembering that his father has passed than I did. That sounds weird/bad, but we lived quite a distance away so certain things were hard to remember that he would think of them as "something he can't tell Dad about or something needs to be fixed and I can't ask Dad anymore." I was bad at that part.
I am sorry for your loss.
