Azur - I'm envious. What a project! Enjoy.

Azur, it's lovely to hear what you're doing, but you still haven't really told us what you're doing. "...wild and densely vegetated..." sounds like Swindon to me. The notes that you were able to give have put across the excitement that you're clearly feeling.

Glad that you found the time to post - we all miss you.

Azur...What a wonderful assignment/project....
And the ancient trees, whose leaves you can wrap around yourself?! Now that sounds dreamy. Good for you. And nice of you to throw the librarian a generous $20. I believe in good karma, too. Best of luck there on your exotic adventure..

what a adventure you are having.    Be careful of the sharks... all varieties...

Good Luck...

with your project! And that was a nice gesture at the library.

I once gave ten bucks to a blind guy selling pencils...I took one pencil for ten dollars. Within a week somebody treated me to a prime rib dinner that I never ever in a million years expected.

Karma....what a concept!

Enjoy your assignment --
it sounds like it's going like the universe is supporting it. What fun to spot a shark fin AFTER you've left the water!!!  I miss reading you, but it's clearly worth it. Woo! Hoo!

Your descriptions are so exciting!!!  All I can say is WOW!  What an adventure!  Happy you were well enough to make it and sounds like there is so much more to come!     Watch those shark's for gawd's sake!!

What an adventure, Azur.  Your post reads like the beginning of a romantic novel; the heroine moving to an island to mend a broken heart and etc.  I hope you are taking photographs and notes for yourself for when you do write it.  I can feel your excitement.  Keep bubbling over.
