This story moved me a lot. I guess that's called empathy. My own parents are in their eighties now and beginning to show signs, so there's always a low-grade dread in the back of my mind. It's hard to see a decline in people you love, especially when you've only ever seen them strong and active. Such a good thing that your mom looked ahead and prepared this way. Things aren't good, but they would be much worse if she hadn't. Best wishes on this, and I'll put in my words for you both.
