I do, Jimson ...

though, I don't quite see the connection.

That's funny, you must have a lot of friends..

editor's note:
At the last minute before posting, I removed my mother's response to the news (despite it being rather witty).  She had asked me to, because she felt it made her "sound like a witch" and thus I reluctantly agreed.

Um, I don't know ... have someone else correct you all the time?

LOL...thanks MPO...
whatever would we do without you?!?

It's all very dramatic, isn't it, Krystal?

Actual quote by Will Shriner
"I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather ... not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car."

Wow.

Fourcats: Thanks...

but if that is the original line, I think mine flows better.

LOL

hey captain, the quote goes like this:
when i die, i want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather, not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Tanree, I imagine that's what people are probably thinking ...
when I say most of the things I say.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 10, 2006 at 6:53 AM | link to this | reply

I can just see peoples faces when you told people some of those things. I bet they had no idea what to say! I can just see them thinking, "Is she serious? Or is this some kind of wierd joke?"

Thank you, Nanaroo ...
P.S. It's a quasi-fairly common Russian name.

Please note, FoF, that I wrote:

"I should note that "SHC" (which I don't believe in, btw) ... was the guess of my brother's imbecilic girlfriend."

However, in Michelle's defense ... perhaps only Mrs. Schumacher's head burst into flames, leaving the rest of her body intact.

I think the police officer was probably just making small talk, not attempting to gather evidence.

M.P.O.
your brother has an interesting name, I don't think I've heard that before.  I thought it was funny about the two of you making up the stories...

You're very welcome, shypettite.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 10, 2006 at 6:31 AM | link to this | reply

Well, I cannot restrain myself from stating the obvious...

If it were Spontaneous Human Combustion, (which I also find extremely doubtful), there would not have been a body to find... It is curious that they were asking you about her if it were a natural death...

I am sure you will keep us posted if you hear anything.

BTW I liked the responsese you and your brother gave to questions about your father's death. Some people can be SO rude, too.

and thanks

That's one way to look at it, Ann ...

I'm extremely jumpy to begin with and to see someone his size leap out from the bushes ... it was like being attacked by a Grither *.

* = Obscure "Tales from the Darkside" reference only I will understand.

Hard to say, Una ...

(although, I doubt it was, like, a murder or anything).

I would assume it willl be a while before the exact cause is released.

Actually, Thomas ... it was more like a triple.

Regardless, I'll delete the excess just as soon as I wake up.

Your brother keeps you on your toes. Lol.

I've played this game somewhat. Whenever some asks me to 'smile', I tell them that my dog just died. Then, I get to tell some silly story which in the end has me laughing cause its so far from the truth. I just don't want to smile but then I can't help it cause they bought the story hook line and sinker.-She Bear

Actually, yes ...

I've changed four things about this blog in the past month:

1. The primary focus

2. The name

3. The category

4. The description

Thus, the fifth (my name) will be in keeping with the previous four.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 9, 2006 at 11:25 PM | link to this | reply

No.

any hint as to your new name?

posted by Captain_Gulliver on April 9, 2006 at 11:15 PM | link to this | reply

Which reminds me:

1. At around 4:30 AM, my username will be changing.

2. I (finally) made contact with a certain MIA blogger.

So, it's all very exciting.

Will Shriner beat you to that line, Gulliver.

I'm sorry to hear your mother has passed on, fourcats ...

Though, it does sound like she may have had an ideal death (if such a thing is possible).

Have you ever seen the canadian movie "The Barbarian Invasions"?  It touches on that very topic, and is an uplifting and beautiful film.

when my mom died, the immediate family was all accounted for
and mom was lucid to the last minute.  i get weird looks from people when they hear me say, "mom had a good death".

You really like "CSI", don't you, Cesium?
I tried watching the original one a few times ... but, my mind kept wandering (as it often does).

Although, she is cute, I guess.

She's also 15, too.  So get your mind out of the gutter.

....i've always been particularly found of SHC, spontaneous human combustion, (talk about something that will scare the bejezzus out of you) but I really, really like  "shootout with the police" and "freak circus accident"....i'm shamelessly cavalier and sacrilegious about death...including my own....i joke about it frequently....at least until it happens.....it won't be me that will get the last laugh THEN!!.... SL
