I am not usually at a loss for words, but I find myself so now. Therefore,
I am therfore not going to say anything about your poety, but I do have a sugestion for you.
You are obviously writing in another file, and then cutting and pasting. Right ?
When you are asked if you want it 'CLEANED UP' click on 'CANCEL' -- NOT 'OK'
It will look more like the way you typed it, and then you can put in the line spaces
only between the Stanzas. It will look, and read better. WWPiMM

M.P.O.--thanks for asking how long it takes to write a poem, and if
I complete one before writing another.
As with anyone, I think, getting the idea, the gist of what I want to write is the most difficult part of the process. Once started, I usually finish first draft in an hour or so. I edit and re-write a lot and the finished poem usually has two hours or more of actual work and may be quite different from the original version. It varies, of course. And I usually do finish the first draft of one poem, before starting another.

On average, how long does it take you to write a full poem?
And, do you always complete one before beginning work on another?
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves,
And Immortality.
