There are allegations and there is nonsense. If I were to claim that you bathe in cottage cheese, it is - I would hope - nonsense. That's how credible the books in question usually are. If this were a court of law, the defense would have moved- successfully at that - to have the evidence disqualified as faulty. Even allegations themselves can be nonsensical, as in DeLay being indicted for crimes that did not yet exist.
Honest men do answer allegations - and wise men know the difference between legitimate allegations and foolishness.

evades the question and refuses to answer the allegations.
this kind of evasion and refusal are prime indicators of guilt.
I say answer the allegations. If this were a court of law, the judge would have ordered him to answer under penalty of contempt of court.

Rumsfield hasn't demonstrated honesty yet.
