Tim-Man.....It doesn't matter...One might be Mama1 and Mama2...
And so forth....As long as a child is being loved by good parents....that's most important. It is an appropriate question though. Families look different these days....

To answer your first question of why I ask.....simply curious. These are the things that my mind conjures from time to time.
Husband? Hmmm......never gave it much thought before. It's kind of like night or day, they are traditional words that describe something that we are accustomed to. A married couple have traditionally been know as man and wife or husband and wife.
I was raised with old fashioned values, so a husband to me is a provider, the male role model in a union of man and woman.

Here you go babe ....
From an actual same sex wedding ceremony -- I hope this helps answer your burning question :)
PRONOUNCEMENT
Stephanie and Dawn, Your lives and spirits are joined in a union of love and trust. Above you are the stars and below you the earth. Like the stars your love should be a constant source of light, and like the earth, a firm foundation from which to grow. As you have consented in this ceremony in the presences of friends and family to be partners for life, I now pronounce you married and bound together body and soul.

In a same sex female marriage they address one another as "lover" or
"partner" -- in a same sex male marriage I believe they refer to one another as simply "bitch" -- role neutral

Timmy, out of my own curiosity, why do you ask? And while we're at it, what does the label "husband" mean to you? What about "wife"?

It has nothing to do with "labels" per se...........But since this obviously got your panties in a wad, how about this...........when the preacher, minister or whomever pronounces them...........what are they pronounced? Husband and husband? Man and Man? Wife and wife? Woman and woman?

Timmy timmy timmy....
If you NEED to label people in ANY marriage you are 20 years behind the times. While you are digging in your mother's closet for something to wear start with burning one of her bras and learn something about liberation.
