Clarrification
The current New Testament books are the product of the council that the Emperor Constantine assembled to study and decide which books were "in" and which books were "out." Constantine was the patron and was paying for the printing. The counsel was not finished their work (far from it) when the Emperor told them to cut bait and fish or he wouldn't foot the cost. And that's how we got the current New Testament - a bit of serendipity and it became GOSPEL. That's all I meant.

True, True

But I still wish Constantine didn't threaten to withold payment of the final New testament from the council cutting the Gospels off in a most haphazard manner. All them bits and pieces on the cutting room floor and all for the want of sheckels - well render unto Caesar what the traffic will bear and  the printing costs will take care of themselves. (And it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than having specialists recover things for 20 years and much less money to promote if these old shreads were baked into the entire fortune cookie).
