I guess so, Penguin.
Not a fan of "Family Guy" or "SpongeBob", though.
I much prefer "ATHF" or "Ed, Edd & Eddy".

oh I find I a way
I only heard about the coronation. I rarely watch tv unless its spongebob, or family guy, or sports (various). I don't read newspapers much and usually stay away from the main pages and go for weather, and sports. And I leave the news updating to my mom. I'm kind of what you call someone who doesn't try too hard to be informed about news.

I wonder how you could have avoided seeing him, Penguin ...
His face was all over the place during his "coronation" (or whatever).

That is so true
God knew what you were thinking, so showing respect would've only been towards your family members, and I assume the Pope wouldn't have know one way or the other. I must confess, I don't think I have ever seen the Pope and really would rather not have nightmares.

Mademoiselle Katia
Nice name.
Although his eyes do remind me a bit of the Addams Family uncle, I've decided I like Benedict. Also, I think he's going to cause a lot less damage in this world than certain other, better-looking leaders.
Yes, as a kid, I was always bored out of my mind in church. As a result, I usually became a nuisance and was manhandled out of there. Worked every time

What?
Each unique visit (page view) = one click.
Otherwise, I once gave mmm-w, like, 50 clicks in a two hour span.

Madem: I did not realize that.
My "Pages Viewed" colom always goes up no matter how many times my friends click on a site in an hour.
Still, thank you for the education.

At first I didn't know what you were talking about ...
Actually, Gulliver, it doesn't matter how many times you come here (between now and 4:30 AM EST) ... it will still only count as one click.
Had I multiple blogs, you could give each one a click, however.

Madoemoiselle: Fortunately for me, you do know me better than that!
At least, I hope you do!!!
I really did feel bad when I deleted those pictures. I am proud of the work I post. Anyway, what I mean by 4 extra clicks is just to click on your page 4 extra times than I normally would have today. Just my little tiny way of saying "I'm sorry."
Fortunately for me, you do know me better than that!

A holy genius
Mademoiselle, as far as I know Pope Benedict is considered to be the world's greatest theologian. The more one loves God the more one knows God. This is a Pope [papa, head of a family] who knows much, hence loves much hence is a nice guy!

Boredom
If you're from France and you come to the states and see football for the first time it might be boring because you don't understand the game. Similarly, if one isn't catechetically trained or improperly trained then Mass can be boring.
Boredom is a typical complaint from people [especially the young] when it comes to Mass. But Mass is God's time not our time. We're not supposed to be entertained at Mass. We're there to worship God. Plenty, I say plenty, of people enjoy Mass.

i personally wouldn't be so quick to assume the popester is a nice guy
merely based on the fact he's pope but that's probably because the first man to assault me was a catholic priest.
in answer to your question regarding cats and chocolate, yes, it is a toxic substance for the kitties, a component called theobromine which affects the circulatory and nervous systems. symptoms are nausea and diahrrea, hydrating with water will keep the animal from, well, dehydrating.
don't know about scorpions.
