Point noted, DarrkeThoughts. And you're right. All your points may be
true.  Sadly, with the child being placed in the foster care system, who the hell knows what will become of her.

Speaking for the daughter...I think I'd rather have parents that would pay $7000 to raise me than the one that wants to sell me.  The only problem is are they fit parents?  And they could be fit, just to impatient to go through the typical waiting lists?  It's not like he was selling her to someone for scientific experimentation, or sex acts, etc.  THAT is inhuman.

I believe this is a case of indifference, SlyCy. Apparently, the little
girl was well taken care of -- but the father didn't care emotionally enough for the child to value it over remodeling his home.  In short -- the child was a commodity.

Could he have asked for help from the government
if he had financial trouble raising the child.  Could he have pursued other avenues to rectify the situation.  The poor little girl!!!

It is such as this that reminds me once again that the human race seems never to advance very far in being human.

FactorFiction: sadly, there is no doubt she will learn of her
abandonment by both her parents.

I do feel so sorry for that little girl...
first the mother leaves (well after learning more about the father, the running part I can understand. Leaving the child I can't.) Then, after mom goes, the father tries to sell the child. How horrible that she will probably know this one day and understand it. I hope there are  dozens of offers to adopt the toddler.
