I appreciate your saying so, Samhain Moon ...
and I certainly don't intend to.

No, thank you, BlackPearl ...

My mother is a virtual fountain of insensitive comments, so I'm sure she'll be coming up again and again in my posts.

She thinks I'm obsessed with her, btw.  Of course, the very notion of that is perfectly absurd.

Which reminds me ... I wonder what she's doing right now?

Mademoiselle,
This is funny, as expected.  Not to make light of the waitress and the cat incident, but I have to admit you're mother's reaction was really funny, and that poor chef, he probably brought it on himself... Maybe "sneaking" some food to the cat, thinking no one would know.  (Poor thing.)  Thanks.  :)

Yes, Penguin, my mother certainly has her priorities in order.

Why thank you, Ann ...
After all, that is my goal.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 24, 2006 at 1:27 PM | link to this | reply

that sounded like so much fun. LOL
I would definitely shying away from my siblings if that happened. The best part, however, was your mothers priority with giving the waitress help.

This was good entertainment for us to read.

No ... no pressure.
It's solely an issue of time ... plus, timing.

Mademoiselle

Feeling the pressure, eh?  All right, I'll cease nagging :-)  and simply look forward to the tale, all in its good time

It's coming, Lensman ... hold your horses.

Unfortunately, I often have only a very limited amount of time to write these out; making it rather difficult to tell the more complicated stories effectively.  And thus, I usually just end up writing about "swallowing a hair" or something.

However, I will likely have a bit of additional "me" time later on this week (hopefully), allowing me to deal with the more complex issues.

Medemoiselle
Happy Birthday .  No one got sued, boys will be boys, and the rain gods always like a good party, as we know, but it sounds as if, all in all, you had a memorable celebration.  And again you tease us with a blender reference :-)

Well, Aaron, we're actually from Russia technically.

My brother and I have a very close relationship.  Although, not so much "Deliverance" as "The Cement Garden".

Oh, no, fourcats ... an actual catering staff was hired.
However, the party was still held at our house.

When you said your brother tried to ram his tongue down your throat...

I started hearing "duelling banjo's" in my head.

You're from Philly, right?  Not West Virginia?

seriously, they let a cat into a restaurant? or are the words "chef" and
"waitresses" synonymous with "parent" and "friends"?

posted by fourcats on April 24, 2006 at 8:11 AM | link to this | reply

That's so sweet, FoF ...
And no, not really.  I've never been that much of a drinker, anyway ... plus in recent years, I have become even less inclined to do so.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 24, 2006 at 6:10 AM | link to this | reply

I did think of you and wonder how the party was going...

It sounds like it was umm, interesting, anyway...  So do you feel any different now that you are "legal"?

For me it was a letdown... drinking a beer wasn't the same when you could run out and buy one whenever you want.  I know, I'm weird.

Unfortunately, Ann, that was about as "high" as the "lights" got.

They were interesting details however.

It will be posted very shortly, Cesium ...
Possibly as soon as tonight.

Also, to whom it may concern:
I apologize in advance if this one is somewhat "raw".  If so, I'll correct it later ... I actually had a very limited amount of time to write it out.  Plus, there are quite a few distractions here.

You know,
you still owe us a detailed account of the blender incident.

Thank you very much, Dave ...

It felt kinda weird being offline for an entire weekend.

When all is said and done, I may end up busting that blender over her head.

posted by Mademoiselle on April 24, 2006 at 1:18 AM | link to this | reply

I trust that pass the parcel went off OK. Nice to have you back and in one
piece. Lock the blender in a cupboard, though, won't you?
