Hi Azur....I, too, respect a strong ally....
I am the type that always goes to bat for the person getting screwed at work, etc. I am loyal that way....Gosh, my late father's dream was to own a racehorse...Interesting friend you have. Sorry about the passing of your neighbor. Life does get into the way of other things at times. I know what you mean, but, good material for your next posts. Best to you.

It must be sad for you about your neighbour
but can I be really insenstive and ask how your friend managed to buy several cars from e-bay?

Sorry to hear about the neighbour. On a lighter note, though, would love to
hear the full ebay story. Sounds marvellous.

I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor. You're right though about how your friend's owing a racehorse is a fantasy for many people. I would love to own one, if not race it!

Most people whose unusual lifes would make fascinating reading are too busy living it to write it.

azur, maj is scary with vindictive suggestions. I would hate to get on

his bad side. But, that would be great, even if you just played it very loudly on a boombox as she drove by...

A blog on race horse ownership would be fabulous because horses spend their lives trying to drive you mad with illnesses and injuries, etc. and then there is all the other stuff. Too bad...Everyone read LadyKenobi's blog posts on horseracing, remember?? Great stuff.....

Sorry about your neighbor. My daughter called me today to say that a sunny little girl in her son's class lost her mommy to cancer today. First graders. Life is beyond unfair and you never know, a quiche might really help one afternoon.

Me, I had a visit from my youngest newest grandson today and He Did Not Scream this time. He laughed and smiled and liked me, he really liked me. He is about to turn 5 mos. old and I like him, too.

And like you, my tiny ego (not that yours ever is, just mine is, but I react the same way as you do), when it gets battered by hip young college girls looking at me in a line somewhere, girls who begin to laugh their heads off while glancing at me over and over again.....well, I think, they don't know anything about who I am, who I have been, (who I might be again??!?!?).

But, you know what I mean. I am bigger than all outside opinions of me now. Being 85 has definite advantages, I don't give a hoot about anyone's opinions, looks or anything anymore. Just wait, you'll feel this way too, with time....

You should see what I wear to go get my mail somedays....I make the mailman(woman, really) laugh her head off some days....I dress for her, too. Big blue Marge Simpson wig and an apron....

Press on, maybe go secretly tape your karaoke-singing SUV-driving neighbor.
Her=1. You, 1 gazillion if you get it onto local cable access. Or silliest home videos. Tell 'em it was you...

Food is always a considerate offering in such a case...
..I think it really signifies caring.  Your friend sounds interesting...we need to read about more people like her!
