Not necessarily, Mademoiselle. I believe they were hoping for just a
slight tremor in the economic landscape. The problem is that you can rarely get forty million or so people to do anything in concert (except vote or watch
American Idol). I kept hearing people say that they agreed with the boycott, but spent money anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose, doe it not?

I don't understand what they hoped to accomplish in only one day?
I mean, they would (obviously) need to extend the boycott a lot longer than that to have any real economic impact.
