Work on your mouth can be incredibly painful...
I have had periodontal stuff done and it is not as painless. That shot of anesthetic is like their taking a large needle and inserting it toward your brain. Oh, wait, that IS what they are doing!

I've never had any serious dental work done ...
unless braces count.
Though from what I've seen (in the movie "Marathon Man"), root canals can be rather frightening. You are very fortunate to have survived (relatively) unscathed.

Sounds like fun. I'm in an altercation with my dentist actually, filed a complaint with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons here, but it is not solved yet. She ruined my denture and then blamed it on me.Good to read you luv, sorry I've been remiss of late
