Our granddaughter picks, and smells the Dandelions. I'm trying to work out how I can persuade her to pick more of them.

Whacky...how informative and entertaining you are. Why DON'T they
tell us to stop and smell other flowers? I prefer lilac so I've planted several bushes around my house. If only they'd bloom a little longer!

Whacky---This is an excellent post.
It reminds me to stop to look and smell to enjoy life.

Whacky
I have a lot of animals in my yard. Yesterday, the resident rat snake ate one of my chipmunks. He'd been lurking around their holes for several days. I made the decision to kill him, and it caused me some grief.

Great post, Whacky. I have always had a compulsion to smell any and all roses, all my life. I am always disappointed if it is one of those gorgeous hybrids that have no smell.

I didn't know that about pansies. I'm guessing flowers' scents are strong when the air is humid.

My favorite flower and the most fragrant of all is:
Four O' Clock. The flowers always attract hummingbirds. They're a gorgeous deep pink color and smell wonderful.
